BLOGS

BLOG is short for Web-Log.  This is like a diary posted openly on the web.
It is a very simple way to make a web-page.  Bloggers add short entries with their ideas from day to day.

Here's an example about Munich:

Here's one about China:

Blogs are very popular right now - they allow virtually anyone to publish their ideas on the web.

Choose Password:  Must be at least 4 letters

Verify Password : Type same password again

Your Email : You can type anything that looks like
an Email address.  You don't need to use a real one.

and type them in the box.  This is an anti-hacker thing.

Now click the button [ Create Account ! ]

You can change the setup later, so don't worry about this too much.

Site Name : This is the Title of your page.
It could be your name, but a topic is better.

Tagline : A clever sentence or idea.

Font :  Verdana is fine, but change it if you want.

Template :  Sets up standard colors.

Now scroll to the bottom of the page and click
[Finish Wizard] .

(5)  Now you're ready for your first post.

First you'll need to think of something to say.  Remember, this is like a diary, so it should be something you were doing this week.  Talk about summer vacation if you like.

Most blogs are about peoples' hobbies, interests, or work.  If you can't think of anything else, how about writing a CAS journal entry?

You can write as much as you want, but the size of the box is a pretty reasonable guideline.

You can do some basic formatting, as follows:

      Ctrl-U for underlined text

      Ctrl-B for bold text

      Ctrl-I for Italics

Use the smiley img8.gif  button if you wish.

When you're finished, press [Submit]

 (6)  Reading Your Blog

You can read your blog by going to  www.xanga.com/YourAccount
For example,  www.xanga.com/WillSmith12345
To see yours, type your account name instead of WillSmith12345.

If you want friends to read your blog, just tell them the address and they can read it too.
