Make a Collage

A collage is a collection of pictures, pasted together into a single picture.  Posters often use this technique.  You are going to make a collage for your topic, using some of your collected pictures.

A search on Google for "sports collage" turns up lots of example.  Some are shown below, with descriptions.

You should do the following:
  1. Choose a topic for your collage - it may be anything EXCEPT computers - for example:
    - food
    - tennis
    - horse-back riding
    - a CAS project
    - ... etc ...

  2. Use Google (or some other tool) to collect pictures about your topic.

  3. Use Paint-Shop-Pro to cut pieces out of various pictures and paste them together
Before collecting pictures, you might want to read the following about FAIR USE : http://www.eff.org/IP/eff_fair_use_faq.php

This is a very simple one -
just copy-paste, copy-paste.
It is functional but not terribly attractive.
If you are going to simply copy and paste,
you can at least use interesting shapes (circles)
or interesting borders (shadows) to make
a more attractive picture.
This is better - by using a transparent
background for each pasted image,
the images seem to "belong" on the page,
rather than having that "pasted" look.
Using fuzzy edges makes the pictures "blend together" nicely.
But the use of rigid rectangular shapes here is a bit annoying.
The fuzzy edges here are excellent,
probably made by smudging or
softening the edges in the collage,
using the retouch tool (finger).

Notice that various shapes are used
to accommodate different images -
for example the runners in the top left.

This poster puts LOTS of pictures together
on a single page.  By using a simple geometric
structure (all pictures are rectangle portrait mode)
the appearance is still busy, but not disturbing.
Notice that a title at the bottom is useful.

Here is another example of fuzzy edges.
This also uses a background image
(the landscape). Using a background image
or color helps tie the whole thing together.
