Find the point of intersection
where two lines cross:
3x + 5y = 17
2x - 5y = 3
Sketch 3x + 5y = 17
Sketch 2x - 5y = 3
It looks like they cross at (4,1)
Now check whether this is correct.
Substitue x=4 , y=1 in both equations
3 x + 5 y = 17 ??
12 + 5 = 17 Correct!
2 x - 5 y = 3 ??
8 - 5 = 3 Correct!
