The black curve shows the graph of y = sin x. The GENERAL form of this curve is y = A sin( B x + C ) + D.
You can use the sliders to change A, B, C, D.
(1) Describe how larger values of A change the graph.
(2) Describe how B changes the graph.
(3) Describe how C and D affect the graph.

The green curve has a period π / 6 . It oscilates between y = -1 (max) and y = -3 (min).
(4) By changing A,B,C,D , make the black curve match the green curve exactly.
